Dear valued Geelong Members and Community,

Dnister is unique in that it’s the only remaining financial institution in Australia that was established by Ukrainians for the benefit of our members.  We are proud of our heritage and our mission of building an organisation for future generations to choose as their preferred financial services provider.

During Dnister’s more than 60 years of providing great products and services, it’s clear that the banking needs of our members of all ages have changed significantly. In turn, we need to adapt the way we service our members to meet those needs. Our intention is not to remove services, but rather to be more flexible and provide options for our members so we are available when they need us.

Within this context, Dnister has taken the decision not to extend our lease of the Geelong premises at 3 / 29-35 Milton Street, Bell Park when it expires on 30th September. Instead, we have entered into an agreement with the newsXpress Bank@post agency to have our Personal Banker available on-site on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9am – 1pm to assist our members. The agency is located a short distance away at 21-23 Milton Street, Bell Park.

In addition, our Personal Bankers and Mobile Banker will be available to meet with our members and community organisations by appointment at a convenient time and location. Other services are still in the planning stages and we are continuing to explore options now and into the future, such as during evenings and weekends and at various community locations.

A community event is being planned for Sunday, 21st August to provide more information and details will be available soon. Note that arrangements are subject to state government Covid requirements and may need to change.

Dnister continues to be financially strong and prudentially sound. We are committed to serving our members fairly, honestly and compassionately. I encourage you to fully utilise the products and services that Dnister provides and continue building the strength of your Co-operative.
